LEADER. COMMUNITY BUILDER. ADVOCATE.
I am running for Town board because Bedford needs strong leaders with conviction who will represent and listen to all the people in our town. Every decision I make is guided by the principle of ensuring the health, safety and welfare of Bedford’s residents. Improving your quality of life is key. You can rest assured, I am only beholden to myself and my personal values.
I was raised in Brooklyn by parents, proud union members, who worked in the NYC public school system. I, myself, was educated in NYC Public Schools. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Brandeis University where I met my husband Aric, who was raised in Bedford. I pursued my Juris Doctor at Quinnipiac University School of Law, solidifying my passion for civil rights and social justice.
Aric, a Bedford Fire Department ex-Chief, loved his Bedford (Katonah-Lewisboro Schools) upbringing and we settled here. Our three children currently attend, or graduated from Bedford Central School District schools.
My dedication to public service began as a teenager when I joined, and later took leadership roles in our college ambulance corps. Throughout my 26 years in Bedford, I’ve continued this in the Katonah-Bedford Hills Volunteer Ambulance Corps, the Girl Scouts, our local public schools, Bedford Community Theatre, my faith community and the American Bar Association and New York State Bar Association.
I am known for being dedicated and reliable. You deserve nothing less. When I step up to the plate, I give 100%. My promise to you is that I will work hard on behalf of everyone in this town, regardless of affiliation or interests. As a public servant, I am committed to making town better for everyone. This is YOUR town. I want to hear YOUR voice. I will be YOUR representative.
In my leisure, I am a regular library visitor and spend a good amount of time reading. I’ve watched The Golden Girls and I Love Lucy more than I should admit. You might find me at a Broadway musical (or a local community theatre), playing scrabble, or doing Zumba. But spending time with my family and my two rescue pups is what I love best. I look forward to meeting you. Let’s talk about how WE can move Bedford forward together.
Bobbi is running for Bedford Town Council as part of a hard-working slate, committed to you. At the top of the ticket is Kitley Covill, running for re-election as Westchester County Legislator, Chris Burdick, running unopposed for his fourth term as Bedford Town Supervisor, and also running for a Town Council seat is Ellen Calves. There are two seats up for election on the Bedford Town Board, and Bobbi and Ellen make a winning team!
